Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program () My wife and I love this moitnor. We have replaced a with Philips Avent. The sound and picture are great, and there is no interference like we had with Summer. Both day and night video feeds are very clear, and the design is clean and modern. There are some nice features like night lights on the baby unit, and the ability to have baby unit start playing lullabies by pressing a button on the parent unit. The parent unit can be set to turn the screen off automatically to save battery unless the baby starts making sounds. The camera is not fixed to the camera stand, but held by a magnet, so it can be easily adjusted in any direction, and it can be used without the AC adapter with AAA batteries. Philips manual tells you not to use rechargeable batteries because the baby unit does not have a charging function, but I do not see why one could not use low self-discharge AAAs like Eneloops. This baby moitnor is covered by Philips's Full 2-year Warranty, which I found pleasantly surprising because a couple of the Philips DVD players I own have only 90 days warranty and I expected the warranty on the Avent moitnor to be no longer than a year.I noticed just two minor issues that may not even be a problem for others.1. For my setup, positioning the camera was a little difficult. We like to see the whole crib from above, so the camera needed to be setup on the shelf above and to the left of the crib. The way the Philips camera and stand are designed, I had to put a wedge under the back of the camera stand so that the camera points where I need it to point. I could not simply rotate the camera down far enough because then the lens would be covered by the stand (see pictures). I did not have this problem with the Summer's camera design.2. The night vision infrared lights on the baby unit glow red. They are low intensity, but still visible and distracting. The Summer baby moitnor also had night vision, but the night vision LEDs did not emit any visible spectrum light. While reading reviews for other baby moitnors, I noticed low ratings because of interference. The performance of the moitnor will depend on how polluted the frequency band on which it operates at your location. For example, we have absolutely no problems with the interference with this Philips Avent Baby Monitor even though my wireless (b/g) router is located in the same room as the parent unit. However, we did have some interference issues with the Summer baby moitnor although baby and parent units were located in the same spots where Philips is now. At the same time, Summer baby moitnor worked without any interference when we took the parent unit to the kitchen. The point is that you won't know unless you try.If you are looking for a baby moitnor, I recommend that you consider Philips Avent Baby Monitor.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program () Customer Video Review Length:: 4:39 MinsPhilips Avent Baby Monitor with Sensors / B001V7R55Y I feel self-conscious rvenewiig this baby monitor because it's the first one I've ever owned (and will probably be the LAST one, as well I really do like it a lot), and I don't have a lot of experience to compare it with. So keep that in mind as you read this review. I'm a big gadget geek, so it was probably inevitable that I'd love this baby monitor. The units are surprisingly small I was expecting something bigger and bulkier from the picture, but both the room unit and handheld unit are very small, sleek, and elegant. The entire bundle comes with one room unit, one hand-held unit, chargers for both, a wrist lanyard for the hand unit, and a soft carry case for everything. And, of course, two user manuals. If there's anything I don't much care for about this unit, it's the user manuals one has pictures but no words and the other has words with no pictures. I'd rather just have one user manual with both pictures AND words, but whatever, the units are clearly labeled and easy to use right out of the box, such that I barely needed to use the manual anyway, so it didn't matter much. We plugged the room unit in the farthest room in the house, and the handheld unit and room unit immediately connected to each other without difficulty and this in a house with a bunch of competing wireless devices. I left my fiance9 there to make baby noises (interlaced with random Star Wars quotes, later) while I carried the handheld unit around the house with me. I was deeply impressed with how crisp and clear the sound was, especially given that I had not pre-charged' the unit hardly at all. I eventually ended up taking the handheld unit with me for a walk down the street, and the sound was *still* as crisp and clear as if I was in the same room with him, even at the end of the street. As for all features provided here: The room unit monitors the local temperature and humidity and relates that information back to the handheld unit. I can't speak for the accuracy of the humidity assessment, but the temperature always matched the readout on the heating unit in the room. The room unit has a nice little night light feature that provides a very soft glow at the front of the unit, and I really like the lullaby feature there are five different tunes, and you can choose to either play one or tell the unit to cycle through all of them. The handheld unit also sports a Talk button that you can use to communicate with the room unit hold down the button to talk, and let go to stop transmitting. I like the hold to talk method because you aren't in danger of accidentally leaving the line open when you don't mean to. At one point in our experiment, my fiance9 pulled the plug on the room unit and my hand unit was still on and still expecting communication that it now wasn't getting. It started quietly, but insistently, beeping for my attention, to let me know that there was something wrong. The beeping stopped when I powered the hand unit off, but on reflection, it's good to know that if the room unit loses power for some reason in the night, you'll know immediately and will know to go check on your baby in person. This is definitely a case where a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll try to add a video showing all the cool features and how to use them. ~ Ana Mardoll

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program () I do not have a baby, but did have a sick mehtor who needed to be monitored 24 hours a day during her final days battling cancer. Previously I had tried a couple fairly cheap baby monitors, but always had the same problem with sound cutting on at random times. The receiver that I kept with me would play lots of static or suddenly cut on at random times, and when I would check on my mehtor, she would be sound asleep. I noticed this same level of sensitivity with three baby monitors I tried and had been given by friends. I was going to get a video monitor, but ended up switching over to the Philips Avent monitor. The first thing I noticed was that I didn't have the same problems with overly-sensitive audio. My mehtor did not make a lot of noise, but when she did make enough, the receiver would cut on and I could check on her. It was not a blaringly loud sound when it cut on either. Another nice feature was that I could mute the receiver and just watch the visible lighted alert on it. Some of the other features, such as the lullabies and humidity/temp monitors I did not use as much, but I did try out the lullabies a few times and it seemed like a nice feature, if a little too simple. It would be nice to be able to store my own songs on the machine through MP3 (it can't be too difficult to add a small mp3 player and flash drive). The temp and humidity settings in my house did not fluctuate enough to really have this feature be of much use, but maybe in houses that aren't as insulated as well I could kind of see it being useful. Either way, I think the real strong point of this monitor is how well it handles audio. http://cszzevihnn.com pnivztj [link=http://odnhnwhi.com]odnhnwhi[/link]

I bought the avent baby wemarr and whilst not totally disappointed in it I also can not say that it is one of avents best products. To list a few negative points 1- The product has no on/off button and personally I prefer not to take out plugs and leave them on the side when the surface is potentially wet also I have found that sometimes when removing plugs this can cause a spark which would be an unpleasant surprise for anyone however an adapter with an on off button does resolve this problem but adds cost to the product if you don't already have one.2- The timings are not accurate which means I have to keep checking bottles so they don't overheat and when the bottle gets put back into the wemarr the pressure of the bottle going into the water causes the water to overflow no matter how carefully done. However on the positive side the wemarr does heat the milk evenly and to a good temperature when kept an eye on and saves some time. The best thing about any product is that it is designed so well that anyone can use it safely and effectively, the purpose of a great product is not to find ways of overcoming the products design faults. Having spoken to a many number of friends many of them agree that this product is a nice to have but by no means necessary. However as with all avent products this is the best on the market so if you want a bottle wemarr this is the one to buy. http://wbxfqczwv.com uxrqrru [link=http://hqjelq.com]hqjelq[/link]
