I am not using pen and paper, but my netbook in the wine cellar. However. the dimension of the screen is 1024 wide by 600 tall, which does not fit well with the format of the new wine window, which is too tall, so I have to scroll up and down.
Couldn't you make the window wider and not so tall ? It also fits better with many new PC LCD screens.
