When I try to sync with the iPhone (using the v0.3a of the sync program) the process gets 80% complete but always stops at:

onDebug() -> -> createArea(California)...

Then the phone times out and I get:

Error during the connection (code 57)

Help!

Hello MSWallack,

Try this :
Right-click on sync server folder, and then click Properties.
Click the Security tab, and Add.
In the Enter the object names to select, type "All users" (tout le monde in french)
Click OK, then select all checkboxes of the permissions.
You can now start iOpenCellarSyncService.

The tab doesn't have an add button (just an edit button). When I edit and try to add "all users" the system (Vista x64) tells me that the "object cannot be found".

I added everyone and checked all of the permission boxes. No change. It still stops at

onDebug() -> -> createArea(California)...

Any other ideas?

Download this /downloads/iPhoneServerBeta.zip,
Extract all files in c:\synchronisation,
Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
type cd "c:\synchronisation"
and
java -jar iOpenCellarSyncService.jar

Send me the program stack trace.

Thanks,
Matthieu

I emailed the .oc file to my work computer (XP, not Vista x64) and was able to sync just fine. Tonight, at home, I copied the .oc file to the same folder as the sync .jar file and tried it and it worked. Not sure if it worked because the iPhone already had data or because I moved the .oc file.
